Who To Contact If You Have Been Raped

If you have been raped, call the Rape Abuse and Incest National Network at 1-800-656-HOPE.  You will be able to talk to a counselor, and it is completely confidential.  The counselors and volunteers have gone through state-mandated training and other types of training to ensure that they will always be able to help.

There is also an online Hotline at www.rainn.org.  The online Hotline is an anonymous and safe instant-messaging type of communication.  You will also be connected directly to the trained crisis support counselors and volunteers.  Also, on the online Hotline there is a wealth of information that you can read, including recovery information, medical issues, the criminal justice process, local help, and support for family and friends of victims.
